Hand Therapy
Physical Therapy of the Hand, also known as Occupational Therapy (OT), is delivered by licensed professionals under the direction of a physician. With origins dating back to the specialization of Hand Surgery itself, OT is integral to the treatment of afflictions of the Hand. Therapy restores functions like pinch, grip, and activities of daily living by focusing on movements, strength, and coordination.
Hand Surgery and Hand Therapy are professionally linked and most often deployed in tandem to treat Hand disorders. The Hand and Extremity Center is pleased to work with experienced experts in the Therapy profession.
